What Happened After I Gave My Cat CBD Oil

How I Found a Wellness Routine That Works for My Cat
If you’re a cat owner, you might not think supplements are something your pet needs. I used to think that too—until I noticed that my cat Lemon, who deals with occasional chin irritation and sensitive eyes, seemed to respond well to adding hemp-based supplements into his routine.
My Story
I live with two three-year-old cats. One’s a sweet orange tabby, and the other is Lemon—a wiggly, affectionate part-Persian who’s always up for a scratch behind the ears. Lemon has had some seasonal skin and eye sensitivities since he was a kitten, and over the years, I’ve tried a number of things to support him.
We had multiple vet visits, tried a few prescription options like pills and topical creams, and while they were sometimes helpful, the process (especially giving pills!) was really difficult for both of us.
Looking for a more natural approach, I decided to try adding Hemp Well's Hemp Thrive Oil and Hemp Relief Oil to his routine. A family member had used them with her dog and spoke highly of the experience, so I figured it was worth a try.
What I Noticed
I started with a small amount—just half a dropper in the morning and again in the evening. Lemon didn’t seem to mind the taste, and by around day four, I personally noticed that his eyes looked a bit less irritated and that his chin seemed smoother than usual.
By the 10-day mark, I felt like he looked more comfortable overall. Since then, I’ve continued to give him Hemp Omega Oil a few times a week as part of his routine, and it seems to help him maintain a balanced coat and mood.
Every now and then, when I notice some of the same sensitivity pop up again, I go back to giving him the Thrive and Relief oils for a few days—and from my perspective, he responds well to that shift.
Final Thoughts
Now that I work at Hemp Well, I hear a lot of similar stories from pet parents who are exploring hemp products as part of their cat’s wellness routine. It’s been rewarding to share my own experience and continue learning about how small changes can make a big difference in our pets’ everyday lives.
Of course, always talk to your veterinarian before starting your pet on a new supplement. Every animal is different—and what works for one may not be right for another. But for Lemon and me, this journey has made a real difference in how we manage his day-to-day sensitivities.
