A new study looking to find out if CBD use in humans is detrimental to liver function has reported no connection of CBD use with liver damage. ValidCare is conducting the clinical study.
Medical professionals had previously raised concerns that CBD use may lead to higher enzyme levels in the liver and cause other health issues. Early indications of the study have countered those beliefs.
ValidCare stated that “preliminary findings show no evidence of liver disease in the 839 participants and no increase in the prevalence of elevated liver function tests when compared to a population with a similar incidence of medical conditions.”
While this study is specific to humans, more research is needed for cannabis use in pet health.
